Fudgy Brownies

Chocolatey, fudgy and gooey brownies!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour / maida
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • chopped nuts, chocolate or chocolate chips, optional

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar and whisk until fully dissolved.

  • Add the eggs, one at a time and beat until well combined.

  • Add the vanilla extract and mix well.

  • Sift together the all purpose flour, cocoa powder and salt in another bowl.

  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients (the butter mixture) and whisk until well combined. Do not over mix the batter.

  • Add chopped chocolate or nuts or chocolate chips and fold with the batter.

  • Grease a 8*8 baking tray with some butter and line with a baking sheet. Pour the batter onto the baking tray and spread it evenly.

  • Preheat the oven at 180°C. Bake them for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  • Serve warm with some vanilla ice cream or as is.

Notes

  • Do not over mix the batter while adding the flour mixture.
  • If you are using granulated sugar, make sure to mix it well until fully combined with the butter.
  • Adding chopped chocolates or nuts is completely optional.
  • Do not over bake the brownies. Check after 20 or 25 minutes and bake for further 5 minutes if not completely baked.
